ลำต้น ไม้ลอยน้ำ มีราก ยาวถึง 50 ซม. 

ใบ รูปขอบขนาน ปลายใบกลม สีเขียวอ่อน ยาว 2-20 ซม. 

ดอก ออกเป็นช่อเชิงลด มีกาบหุ้มช่อดอก สีขาวถึงสีเขียวอ่อน 

ผล ฉ่ำน้ำ เปลือกหนา กลม กว้าง 0.3 ซม. ยาว 0.5 ซม. 

เมล็ด สีน้ำตาลอ่อน รูปทรงกระบอก ขนาด 1 มม.

อยู่ตามแหล่งน้ำต่างๆ
